ARE YOU AFRAID OF THE DARK

To the real author of "Are You Afraid of the Dark?"-- who are you and what did you do with Sidney? Sidney Sheldon was to me one of my all time favorite authors...with such masterpieces as, "The Other Side of Midnight" and "Windmills of the Gods." He was a master of mystery and deception. Then I read, "When the Stars Shine Down" which was seriously lacking. Then I read, "Tell Me Your Dreams" which was too transparent to engender interest. However, the worst was yet to come in the guise of "Are You Afraid...?" It was the worst Sidney Sheldon novel ever penned by him or his ghost writers. I would have thrown it in the trash, but I felt my trash can is too good for this literary debacle. After all, what did my trash can ever do to me?
